Welt’s ultimate is where the delay buster is.
This then gets compounded with his talent, dealing its bonus damage instance on every hit of his skill, resulting in dealing 6 total instances of damage against a slowed single target. Similar to other multi-hit skills like Sampo’s and Asta’s, all 3 hits will still occur in single-target, making it a very effective source of damage in those scenarios, as well as offering more chances to inflict the slow.
It also has up to a 75% base chance to slow the enemy by 10% for 2 turns. His skill deals damage 3 times, the first against your target and the other strikes on random enemies. This is a phenomenal talent that can have 100% uptime extremely easily, and is what contributes to Welt’s inordinate role flexibility in teams, allowing him to deal good damage while recovering SP with his basic attack, or dealing phenomenal damage by expending SP to use his skill. Welt’s talent is what allows this bonus damage to occur if the enemy he hits is already slowed, he deals an additional instance of damage, up to 60% of his ATK, to that enemy. Welt plays the role of a debuffer his skills slow enemies down and delay their turns to effect great control over the battlefield, whilst also getting to deal free bonus damage against those slowed targets, making him a competent secondary source of damage as well. The lost Herrscher adrift in an unfamiliar world, Welt is every bit as badass here as he was in his old world.
